INFORMATION ON CUSTOMS LEGISLATION. SPECIFICS OF REGISTRATION IN SOME COUNTRIES
According to the customs legislation of different countries, there are restrictions on the cost of duty-free importation of goods in one unaccompanied parcel. In order to avoid additional costs for customs clearance of your goods, please ask the representative of our company for information about the maximum duty-free cost of sending to the country of destination before shipping the goods.
If the total value of the commodities exceeds the duty-free amount of import to your country, we are ready to provide you with the services of our licensed customs brokers, who will promptly produce all necessary customs procedures at the lowest cost for you. For this, it is necessary to provide an invoice with the real value of the goods for delivery to the customs authorities of the country of destination. After all the necessary formalities, the customs clearance will be made and the goods will follow further to the address you specify (this service has limits based on the country of destination).
Customs procedures can take from 1 to 14 business days, depending on the customs legislation and the legislation of the country of destination. We ask you to indicate the real value of the goods sent.
Goods: electronics (laptops, etc.), telephones, watches, glasses, jewelry and expensive imitation jewelry - must necessarily be accompanied by invoices. This can be done in the client's account, also known as personal cabinet. In the event that an application for the shipment of goods is filed, but the invoice is missing, the goods will be sent, however, we will not be responsible for the passage of customs and confirmation of the customs value of goods.
Explanations on some customs rules when sending goods in postal express mail
Without paying customs duties, items intended for personal use and goods that are not of a commercial nature are allowed to be sent, the aggregate value of which does not exceed the amount equivalent to 150 euros, and the total weight is 100 pounds.
Example of calculating the customs duty for goods worth more than 150 euros:
If you will be sending goods worth $250, you will need to pay a customs duty of 32% (10% duty + 20% VAT) on the difference in the value of your product and the amount of duty-free import (150 Euro), i.e. $ 250 minus 150 euros (roughly $ 160, depending on the dollar to euro rate on the day of formalization), the difference is $ 90.
The calculation is carried out as follows:
$ 250- $ 160 = $ 90, for a difference of $ 90, we charge 32%, which means $90 * 32% = $28.8.
The second option under the rules of accumulation is as follows:
$ 90 * 10% duty = $ 9 - duty, calculate VAT $ 90 + $ 9 duty = $ 99 * 20% VAT = $ 19.8 VAT.
Thus, for a commodity worth $ 250, a fee of $ 28.8 will be added to the hryvnia at the NBU rate on the day of the calculation.
